The management team have spent their careers in the fast-moving consumer goods environment and have in excess of 60 years of experience in the field.

Company Founders

Jonathan Hartley
Chief Executive Officer

Having started his executive career in Human Resources as HR Director for The Cold Chain (Pty) Ltd, Jonathan took an interest in the commercial aspects of the logistics and distribution fields and served as Business Development Director. He led the creation of Mercor Solutions, a sales and merchandising business in the food industry, serving as Managing Director and later assumed the role of Managing Director of The Cold Chain (Pty) Ltd. In 2013 Jonathan was tasked with the creation of Imperial Retail Solutions (a division of Imperial Logistics) in order to consolidate the retail services-focused businesses in Imperial. He served as Managing Director of this group, including VMS, FMS, Mercor Solutions and Peak In-Store and subsequently established Public Square Consumer Marketing in 2018.

Candice Meerholz
Chief Operating Officer

Candice has been in the FMCG industry for 19 years, 15 of which have been within the Consumer Marketing and Brand Consulting space, which she pioneered along with a current client in 2006. She has subsequently designed and implemented several successful tailor-made solutions in Beauty, Personal Care, Household, Liquor, Foods, Beverages, Feminine Hygiene and Wellness. Candice served on the board of directors of IRS as Managing Director of Peak-Instore and joined Public Square Consumer Marketing as a director, and COO in 2018 and is responsible for the full operational portfolio and project execution.
